Equally torn between missing writing and having no desire whatsoever to put words on paper, I’ve hit upon a plan. It’s far from ambitious. Hell, it’s just this side of not writing at all. Still, something, however small, is better than absolutely nothing at all.
The plan is this: 100 words per day on my second Landa book. With 263 days left in the year, that gives me 26,400 words by the end of the year (counting today). I really only need 20k to bring it even with book one, but hey. Now, if I feel motivated to do more than 100 words per day, I’m not going to stop myself. I hope like hell I do manage more because I’ve backed myself down to one-tenth of my normal average day word count.
So, on day one of my Lazy Ass Writing Goal: 187 words.
Baby steps still equal forward momentum, right?
